There’s something ungodly and evil to come home after work to a 32°c and climbing heat at eight in the morning.
So after a cold shower, it’s time for a shave and another soap in the PAA rotation.

This time it’s Big Shave S’West.
Strange how when I first used this, my nose didn’t register any leather and instead caught smoky mesquite and herbs as the primary scent accords, but now, that mostly leather, herbs, and woods accord is a punch to the face.

Loving the Twig, while it is deceptively mild, it is quite efficient, and it seems to work well with most blades.

Smelling and feeling much better now.

Another day, another soap in the PAA rotation.
This time one of my aromatic favorites as its one that doesn’t really fit into a “type” of scent as it crosses into multiple “boxes”
Fruity, woody, a touch of herb and an incense scent that is not overbearing, it’s definitely a one of kind and unique scent.

I have been fiddling around with the GSC Fat Guy since the original disastrous review I gave it.

Surprisingly, its no longer as “bad” or as off set and misaligned as when it was when I originally used it.
I have just been playing with it, opening and closing as well as soaking it in a silicone lube it to see if it’ll help with whatever may be interfering with the blade alignment balance.

At this time of shaving, I have set it at R5, and this time cannot visually see the slant of the blade when set, that I used to see on 4 / 5 and up.
Even setting to R9, this time, the misalignment slant is not as obvious visually.

The mechanism still doesn’t feel as “smooth” as it should be though (like with Rockwell’s Model T), and my initial feeling that this would be a “cheap” razor and that it would not cost cost more than $50 still stands.
Mainly because there is still quite a bit wiggle and what felt like a possible burr inside.

I think I’ll need to fully dismantle it and see if a little homemade engineering can help.

The Super Iridium and razor was a good match, much smoother than I remembered.
Shave itself was great.

Another day into the PAA Rotation, and today I wanted another fresh scent and feel after a hot work day out in the sun.
St Martin’s Land’s fresh greens and ginger sounds absolutely to be just the right thing.

The Super Iridium and CATA-DOC pairing works fantastically great as expected and it was a Faceturbation BBS made easy.

And while many hype and go with Armaf’s CDNI, I prefer Al Haramain’s L’Aventure.
Both aren’t 100% dupes but most won’t be able to tell the difference.

Another day into the PAA Rotation, and the last of my CK-1 soaps before I jump into the CK-6 stuff and one that I will want to more of.
Dapper Doc’s scent is just … wow. Floral and fruity but not feminine if that makes sense. Love it.
Paired the shave with an EDT that is really a lot more musk with a touch of oud and the synergy they made is beautiful.

The Tatara Gentle Nodachi is still my favorite take no prisoners razor.

Another day in the PAA Rotation, this time with my only other PAA “Full Monty” favorite, Cold Spices.
And let me tell you, after a long day’s work in the tropic heat, a cold shower and a mentholated shave just feels awesome! Smelling great is just icing on the cake.

The Model T and Treet carbon blade combo gave a great shave, though the blade is a one shave blade unless you dry and store them for reuse in dry box since they rust easily, even so, I do not recommend more than two shaves with these blades.
They are cheap though so there’s that.
