Finally! An off day shave and let me tell you, after an overnight shift, when you get back, and take that shower along with a “refreshing shave”, man that’s the bomb!
Mr. Warlock is definitely refreshing.
Decided to pair the shave with some Florida Water and not only you feel good, you smell good too.

Last use with the Feather Pro blade after 18+ (lost count after that) shaves and its binned. Gotta love those artist club blades for longevity.
While it only felt a wee bit tuggish, I’d decided its time for it to be recycled.

Gonna go do household chores.

Another one of my favorite scents from WTF, wonderful wonderful whiff of sweet lemon, patchouli saffron and rose.
This is one of Don’s stronger scented soaps, so enjoy!

The Rockwell 6S is often overlooked for more “bling” brands but this is Rockwell’s finest as well as possibly one of the best razors you can own.
It is by no means the “best” out there, but is definitely the best bang for buck razor hands down.
Paired with the Sword of Achilles, its Faceturbation BBS time!

I was torn between using Dior’s Eau Savauge 1966 or Santal Royal to pair with the shave, and decided in the end with Santal Royal.

If you like the feel of being in a forest of Cedar, Pine, and Fir, this is the soap for you.
I decided to add a good few grinds of menthol in, to give it that winter snow in the forest feel and loving the results.
Smells and feels fantastic!

Went with the Oren as its probably the unofficial razor for a WTF shave. Still one of the smoothest razor I have used due to the floating blade design but with the 3 Dot plate is more than fairly aggressive enough that it can bite if you disrespect the blade.

Needless to say, I got an irritation free BBS.

Paired the shave with Davidoff’s Wood Blend which while is a little more vetiver centric, compliments the shave of the day’s scent perfectly.

Smelling and feeling fanfrackingtastic!

Down to the last two PAA scents in my PAA Rotation and for today, its one of my earliest PAA buy.
I mean, when you aren’t sure of a soap maker, and you want to get a handle of the scent strength or quality, going with a standard like Bay Rum is always a good idea.

Except that PAA’s Atomic Age Bay rum is anything but “standard” more like “Fanfrackingtiscally-Outstanding Standard!”
Along with Al Fin, this soap doomed me into jumping in head first, into that PAA Rabbit Hole.

And for the shave itself, went with the Vector.
Precision personified, caffeine shakes aside (10hr overnight shift + lots of coffee before and after), it made getting that perfect Faceturbation BBS easy.

Now off to the vets.
Cat needs her once over check up.
No rest for the wicked.

Doppelganger Gold is something I probably want to get more off, as this one smells really good to me. Finances willing.
Used my first PAA Brush that I bought, and time hasn’t been kind to it. While it performed, it felt a little scratchy to me and not as good as my other brushes.
Goes to show that I have been spoiled by Badger and the Rosswell knots.

Used the 2nd half of the Bic Blade in the Twig, and it was an easy Faceturbation BBS.

Smelling and feeling great.

Only a few more to go into the PAA Rotation.
Today’s scent is diver down.

Now this soap does not have menthol but it does have Spikenard which is an ingredient used in many Asian medicated oils / medicated balms.
It has a very distinctive minty herbal scent to it and it does act like menthol with its cooling effect.
And like many of Douglas’ Bay Rums, this one is one aromatic powerhouse.
Love it!

Also a note of sorts, “THE BURN!” is real with this one (think “Home Alone Aftershave scene”), both with the Star Jelly and Aftershave cologne, with the latter a few notches up in intensity.
Something to do with the menthol-like + Alcohol hit I think.

Yeah, definitely one of my favorites.

The Twig is a fantastic razor to “finish” up on a used blade, in this case a Bic Chrome Platinum that had 5 shaves to it. So this is 6th shave technically, with the 7th with the other half when I come back from work.
The edge has begin to dull a little and while it is not “tugging” yet for me, it is beginning to feel less smooth.

Still, it was a very easy and comfortable Faceturbation shave.

Smells so good!

Not really a summer scent but since I’m doing the overnight shift in what is going to be a really cold airport, it’s just the thing.

The Model T has become a razor I really enjoy using and I have definitely flipped a 180 since they replaced the old faulty one.

Together with the Bic blade, the shave was so smooth and comfortable, getting that Faceturbation BBS was a walk on the park.

Feeling great, smelling fantastic.Off to work!

Winding down to my last few PAA scents, and for today, a very old school scent or something very similar to this was always a mainstay in many a barbershop in the 70s.
If I have to describe what it smells like, I’d say Irisch Moos is a greener version of Aramis without the leather.

Going with the Parker 87R again today paired with The Sword of Achilles.

For a cheapie, this razor is definitely hitting all the right notes for me and the one thing that I really like about Parker TTOs, is it’s very unique audio feedback. Your blade will sing to you as long as there is something for it to take off.
Bics for me has always been really sharp, really smooth and to be honest, with this razor and blade combination, I was done in a single pass but choose to re-lather up for a clean up pass, just because I could and wanted to.
Along with that fantastic Parker audio feedback, it was Faceturbation BBS made easy.

Was going to use another scent but I’m back to shirt and tie and this would be the perfect “I’m back!” scent to wear.
It’s overused though by now, and while I still do love it, everyone and his dog probably has worn or sniffed this a million times before.

The Meta4 is very quickly becoming a favorite for when I want a razor that is not just efficient but gentle and forgiving.
It’s great for when you have to jump out of bed, still feeling like a zombie including lack of brain power, but need to shave.
It does require that really sharp blade for best results though.
