Irish Moos!
Oh boy, this scent takes me back to my childhood visiting barbers who surprisingly were either using Stetson or Irish Moos or a facsimile of those scents.

With notes of Bergamot, Lemon, Orange, Rosemary, Coriander, Lavender, Cedar, Geranium, Clove, Patchouli, Oakmoss and Tonka Bean, the scent is so familiar, so old school, it made me smile.

CK-6 lather needs no introduction which just made the shave that much better.

The Vector with a Feather Super Pro made for a rather interesting shave. Compared to the Oren which gave a softer shave, the Vector’s geometry and firm blade, gave a much more precise and controlled shave.

That is not to say that one is better then the other, as one has outstanding comfort, while the other gives you complete control over the blade.
For me though, I feel that the Vector edges out the Oren

WTF Lodge 49 is based on Tom Ford’s White Suede and since I have not used that scent I cannot vouch for its accuracy to the scent.
What I did get from it is a light suede note blended with light floral musk.
Soap’s scent is light and is not animalic, thankfully.

If you like lightly scented musk and suede, this would be right up your lane.
Soap’s performance is as per WTF offerings, Fanfrackingtastic.

The CATA-DOC with a Feather riding on the WTF lather made for easy buffing making the shave a 1 lather pass + touch up, clean, irritation free BBS shave.
I need to get the Stainless Ascension when I can.

Heath’s shaving cream is one that I usually use for the night shaves but I thought I’d swap it around some.
Scent is a very pleasant Tasmanian Pepper and Tea Tree.

Wanted to test out something and went with the Oren with a Feather Super Professional blade.
Shave was surprisingly soft and smooth but still took a few more strokes than I was accustomed to to get a true clean BBS shave.

Old spice day! Love Soap Commander’s performance and scent.
I need to try a few more Old Spice based soaps but for the moment, Soap Commander is my goto for the True Old Shulton.

Decided to go with the milder Tatara and it never amazes me just how much or rather how little of the blade you feel as you shave. Just to be clear, the Masamune is a mild shave and while the default Masamune is the smoothest razor I have used, its negative -013mm blade exposure geometry makes for shaves that unless you use a Feather or better, will leave micro whiskers and for the BBS chaser, this can lead to over shaving.

The Masamune Plate and Nodachi top cap combo brings that blade geometry to a true neutral shave (0.00mm) which while still retaining that extremely smooth shave, takes off growth closer to the skin.
It was an amazing epic shave.

I am surprised that not many SOTDs feature this soap given that it has to be owned by quite a few.
Its not bad, not great but not bad.
It’s scent is a rather unique barbershop with licorice as the main note.

Still going with the Warhammer and Feather.

Decided to go with a theme of Unity for the 4th of July.
While I myself don’t celebrate the day, it’s significance is important and I just want to say that we are all one species, human.

Went with the old Warhammer, the 6S today, armed with a Feather, its just an easy, smooth, “resistance is futile”, no irritation BBS shave.

Simple work day shave. Will be hot, sweaty and lots of physical stuff. So keeping it simple.
Irena’s take on the older scent is good and while it has less of that ambroxan note with a little more citrus and florals but anyone using the 2015 ambroxan bomb will feel at home with the scent.

The Ascension with a Feather worked as expected.
Easy perfect glass BBS shave.

Scent profile for the soap was Pine, Juniper and Snow. However, there is no menthol in it.
So it is not a cool or “fresh” feel / scented soap.

By default it smells like slightly brackish, wet woods, snow melt river.
Lather is fantastic, but if going by the scent, if you are a “freshie” scent lover, this may not be one for you.
Sample first if you can.

So yeah, had to go with Proraso Green Pre-shave, grind in some menthol and end with Aqua Velva for that fresh, snow melted woods feel.

Went with the Tatara Masamune Plate with a Feather. This guy needs a little more care and work but with a little skin stretching and its an easy one and a half pass plus Pick up, clean, glass, non-irritation BBS shave.

Bring on the Chill! WTF Mr. Warlock is one of the best “normie” menthol soaps. Its not crazy high in menthol, just a tad above Proraso Green, scent is Peppermint Eucalyptus and it’s aftershave gives you even more of a lasting chill which is awesome!
If you hate menthol, this is not for you, but anyone who likes that cool freeze, this is definitely one to try.

Soap is a soft croap, so its very easy to finger scoop a little into a bowl. and it creates good top notch lather.

Reached for the Vector and used some freebie unbranded blades. Not the smoothest of blades but it does the job and the Vector manages it wonderfully.
Along with a great lather, it was an easy, clean, perfect BBS shave.

More menthol shaves!
Long rifle’s lather is top notch and the scent is pleasant, though wished it had a little more menthol. That I can fix.

Love the CATA-DOC -Bic combo. Easy, non-irritation BBS.
Ended the shave with Aqua Velva for more menthol.
Feeling cool, great and ready to rock the world.
