Meant to use the Kamisori but woke up late so used the Oren instead and had to rush to the supermarket.
As feared, it was already kinda crowded. On Good Friday. On lockdown. Yeah my country calls it “Circuit Breaker” but in reality I still see so many people out and about and not sure if they are out to get essentials.
FREAKING long lines to the checkouts.

Creed’s Royal Oud, one of my favorite oud scent.
I don’t think anyone else does this scent for a shaving soap and that’s a shame, it’s one of the few oud scents that’s blended well and while very present, isn’t animalic, and is instead aromatic.
For those who haven’t tried “oud” this would be a good stepping in point.
Oud scents otherwise, can be for a better word, smell really funky.

The Occam’s Razor Oren Nano gave that easy, perfect, true glass BBS shave.
No cuts, no weepers, no irritation.
9th use of the blade though and I think it’s losing its edge, had to go over my usual trouble spots a few times.

Dating back to 1959, this citrus, tobacco, spice and vetiver scent is as old school as it gets.
Vintage as it is, it still smells amazing to me and while some might say it’s dated, I don’t really care.
I love it.

The Tatara Feather combo gave a shave that was true glass BBS, perfect and most important of all, enjoyable.

Back to my usual weapons of choice and the Tatara is one of my, if not my favorite razor simply because it is the Assassin, you just won’t know it’s there.
Extremely comfortable, more so since the combination I am using have the blade exposure just barely in the negative that will give this razor an even more smoother shave than then regular Default configuration.
The Feather blade just made it crazy effortless.

Afternoon offday shave, so it’s Kamisori time! Still not confident with going ATG with it yet so decided to finish the shave with the Oren on the ATG and clean up.

Himitsu, smells FANTASTIC.
Always enjoy using it.
WTF soaps are great performers so I am not too worried about using a Kamisori which many can attest to, need attention and a good soap to not give something to the Blood God.

And it smells fantastic. 😁

Got a hankering for Soap Commander.
Each and every one of their soaps are named after a trait, a virtue and Tenacity is something we really need now.

Decided to pair the soap with Zaharoff’s Signature Pour Homme and it is a great complimentary combination of scents.

Also brought out the old girl, with the R4 plate and a Feather Blade, the 6S just cleanly took growth off without irritation for a true glass BBS.

Feeling great, smelling great, its a great start to a new day.

Kept it simple today, with a last min addition of using PAA’s Mysterium Serum to close off the shave. At the time I wasn’t sure if I wanted to use a balm.
I don’t think I’ll ever go away from the mild / mid aggression razor with very sharp blade combos.

Lots of uncertainty as reassignments and new duties will be given out.

It was either going with Future Fiction or John Frum.

Future Fiction as the theme lends itself to our ability to write our own future.
Or John Frum, as the lore behind that is the Guy who brings in the “Good Stuff.”
And God knows we need a massive air drop of all the good we can get.

Agharta, love the scent.
Highly recommend if you are into aromatic barbershop.

Slow and easy shave with the Oren.
I might want to go back to the 2 Dot plate. Something about the 3 Dot didn’t felt right.
Also am a little disappointed with the Schick Prolines.
4th use and the blade now feels slightly a little more harsh.

It’s still sharp but the blade seems to have taken a slightly more “scrappy” feel.
While it was still an almost perfect shave, it wasn’t as comfortable as it was in the 2 Dot and the blade itself might have taken off a little more of a layer of skin than I like.
Thankfully there was very little to no feedback from the Alum so all is good.
